About Chanèle

Hi, I’m Chanèle—a versatile and award-winning communications professional with a decade of experience empowering brands and people through impactful storytelling.

My love for storytelling began in Grade 2 when I proudly became the first in my class to read 100 books—a small but meaningful milestone that ignited my lifelong curiosity for words and ideas. Today, I channel that same curiosity into a career dedicated to crafting best-in-class, multi-channel communications strategies that engage, inform and inspire. My superpower? My unique blend of creativity, empathy and insight that I bring to every project.

Over the past 10+ years, I’ve worked across diverse industries—from shopping centers to fintech and edtech—to help brands articulate their unique stories through social media, employer branding, public relations and executive communications. As a Certified Prompt Engineer, I’ve fully embraced the power of generative AI, leveraging this transformative technology to innovate workflows and elevate the way I approach communication in today’s dynamic landscape.

In addition to my corporate work, I’ve cultivated a vibrant career as a writer, speaker, and educator. I have delivered over 150 keynotes, workshops, and panels for organizations such as Royal Bank of Canada, Uber, Reebok, in addition to universities and colleges across Canada. In 2018, I gave my first TEDx talk, and my insights have been featured in Fast Company, The Globe & Mail, Elle Canada, Refinery29 and more. I’ve also made on-air appearances as a career expert on Breakfast Television, Global’s The Morning Show and CHCH Morning Live.

Passionate about education, I’ve taught courses in Personal Branding, Career Strategy and Business Storytelling at Humber College, Seneca College and George Brown College, in addition to serving on several Professional Advisory Committees. I am a proud founding team member of Accelerate Her Future, a career accelerator for Black, Indigenous and People of Colour. I have also co-designed a successful public speaking bootcamp that supported 60+ underrepresented professionals with launching their speaking careers. I take pride in helping students and professionals alike uncover and amplify their unique value through effective communication.

My career journey has been shaped by the belief that communication is more than just a tool—it’s a catalyst for change. Whether I'm advising on executive messaging, developing employee engagement strategies, or sharing insights on careers and personal branding, my goal is always to create authentic, human-centered connections that drive meaningful impact.

I’ve been honored as one of PR in Canada’s Top 30 Under 30, one of the Top 100 Black Women to Watch, and one of the Top 25 Women of Influence. Outside of my work, you can find me exploring local bookstores, hunting for the perfect pair of sneakers or chasing after my two children who are the heart of everything I do.

My mission in life is not merely to survive but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour and some style.
